H T Brigham is pleased to welcome a new member to the team this month. Paul Tanner joined the Birmingham based presswork manufacturer at the beginning of December, taking on the position of Technical Sales Manager.
Paul has worked in the presswork industry for over 20 years. The knowledge and experience which he has acquired over this time, in presswork engineering and project development, means that he comes to H T Brigham with the skills to assist the existing and potential customer base with new projects, as well as identifying and developing opportunities for growth.
Commenting on the new appointment, Barry Smith, Managing Director, said: ‘Paul joins us at an exciting time for H T Brigham. We have had an encouraging year, with some significant order wins. Having made some considerable investment over the last 18 months to secure our future growth, we now look forward to a lucrative 2013 with Paul onboard, to further build on this success.’
HT Brigham has already experienced a successful year, having achieved a significantly increased order book. Coupled with an evolving factory footprint, due to continual 5S improvements, the increase in work has already led to a need for the productive space on the ground floor to be maximized.
In a dedication to improving manufacturing flow, increasing efficiency and responsiveness, H T Brigham has plans to further expand their press capacity, which at present ranges from 10 to 350 ton in transfer and 50 to 400 ton in progression. The increased capability range will assist further penetration of existing markets and diversification into new ones.
October also saw H T Brigham receive a Manufacturing Achievement award, presented by Lord Digby Jones at the Made in the Midlands events, for having secured a component order worth in excess of £1.5 million in its first year of production. Additional staff were recruited in order to accommodate the increase in workload.
With the uptake of talented personnel, significant investment and the commitment to on-going business improvements, HT Brigham has laid excellent foundations for another prosperous year.
