H T Brigham, has invested in a brand new Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for the quality control department. The machine, which cost in the region of £20,000, was funded with the support of Coventry University Enterprises Limited (CUE Ltd) and provides H T Brigham with the facility to measure challenging component dimensions quickly and with repeatable accuracy.

Paul Tanner, Technical Sales Manager, said, “We are very pleased to have acquired this new piece of equipment. Anything which can help us to streamline our processes, can help us to provide a more efficient and competitive service to our customers”.

The fully automated machine measures the physical geometrical characteristics of a finished pressing and is ideal for the measurement of the deep drawn, technically complex presswork manufactured at H T Brigham.

Investment in the new machine, which was supplied and installed by Rugby based ITP Group, has been necessary due to the ever stringent requirements of H T Brigham’s growing customer base, and becomes increasingly important as the manufacturer continues to compete for high value tier 1 automotive contracts.
